HDR plugin for NullDC here: (screens inside)

some of you guys may already be using this, this is a HDR plugin for many d3d games called ENBSeries. official site: ENBSeries Download

Anyway, i modified it abit to make it work nice in nulldc. But it is not compatible with NullDC PVR, it works only with Chankast PVR (at least for me, if it works for you, let us knwo). Also, i believe u must have at least shader 2.0 vid card. i get a 3-6% performance impact when using these. here are some shenmue 2 before and after screens:












Download the attachment. works with all versions of NullDC

Instruction, jsut extract all files to nulldc dir and use chankast pvr

if u can make it work with Nulldc PVR, let us know!

That's only glow, not HDR. People tend to confuse both terms, when it's two separate things.

I agree, it is more like bloom effect. See this video geminihc to understand what HDR is about. Watch the difference in lighting and especially in the shadows (1:00 - 1:16).

Thanks. it also works with nulldc 1.0.3 here, if you use a predefined fullscreen resolution (not auto). i.e. 16080x1050@60hz, etc. it crashes ortherwise (running in a window)...

I made a different bloom effect that works for any plug-in. problem is it only works in 1.6 beta :/

I'm sorry what I meant to say was I edited a fake HDR effect created by someone for a Resident Evil 4 mod. I'd appreciate it if someone could show me how to get it to work with this new version of nullDC.

all is good that people are doing cool things with the emu but I just really cant see the goodness from HDR to me it looks terrible and seems less detailed than normal also the little kid monks look like they got light bulbs stuffed up them lol look at the pics and tell me that hdr pics look more detailed than normal and I will eat my hat lol,
some one must agree with me altho hdr looks nice with half life 2 tho

It's interesting, but again bloom is used in excess and draws the attention to the effect itself, thus distracting from the general atmosphere. Shenhua's face is just terrible.

The experience with HDR could vary from game to game, also seems to be better suited for dark places in games with night atmosphere. Also some terror games like RE could look better...

is there a way to make thi spply only to static objects, and not npc/plater models?
