My nulldc Naomi doesn' t work no more!! It say [GPF] unhandled acces to 0x30020000 shut down!
Maybe latest directx i have installed cause this problem??

Delete nullDC.cfg and see if it works

sega and this console in particular had the best arcade style gaming. Why did the dev stop working on dreamcast anyway? I can understand if it was the saturn that had crappy games.. but come on! This is arcade quality !

not to hijack this thread as its about NullDC so after this only nulldc.

1> i've had/have both psx/saturn, saturn games for me are more enjoyable

2> saturn brought is vf series one of the best ever fighting game series,
also had doa(like the psx), doa LE, fighting vipers, fighters megamix etc
to name a few.

3> had the nights series again a brilliant games

4> a good selection of rpg's like the epic panzer dragoon saga (which sells for $/£100+ even now)

only reason sony won the sony vs saturn war was simple because sony were 10x smarter and got more people behind it, more people got sucked into the "sony" hype, this killed the saturn and eventually the Dc.

on G4's episode of Icons covering the Dreamcast. They even said everyone thought Saturn sucked. The games were just retarded and the console was behind the times in technology due to it being rushed while Sega was still pushing 32x, segacd... i think they said sega had 7 products out at the time too many. They said the only place it was popular was in japan because of virtua fighter, but it bombed horribly every where else.

it's august and been a year, where is the nulldc update !

It will be 1 year on the 20th. I hope some announcement surfaces until then.

The way I see it, the Saturn was a really bad console. For starters, it had the worst hardware of it's generation, at a very high price. The games weren't anything to write home about, NiGHTS and Panzer were good games but then again didn't make up for the rest of the library. Virtua Fighter was an arcade port, btw.
The programming environment is horrendous and inefficient, and even Sega openy admits that the Saturn was a bad step. IMO, Sega could have made the Dreamcast work if the people hadn't stopped trusting the brand after successive failures. Who can blame them?

panzer was brilliant, only shame was it was brought out at the end of the saturns life but i think most people judged saturn on its bad games over the good ones

and thats just a little list of its best games most people probably didnt know about, and even though the saturn had TOO much junk in the trunk (see emulators of psx,saturn to see what i mean) graphics wise, i can put psx next to saturn and they could be identical on most games, in the end its horse for courses as they saying goes, fight is lost.. saturn RIP shame they never made a saturn player on the DC that would have boosted the DC i think.

It's cool to hate on the Saturn, which is why a lot of people do. Hardware wise it was a more capable system, and while it didn't have a lot of games, there were quite a number of quality titles.
The 3D graphics were also more "solid". The textures didn't move around all the time like in 3D psx games.

The thing is, it was expensive at the time and a lot of people, myself included, went for the playstation instead leaving behind the saturn altogether. Playing the games now, you can appreciate the system a lot more, plus the games aged better than psx games.

As a person that owned both a PSX and a Saturn 'back in the day', the Saturn was by far the better console for me. PSX had about 1000 games of which about 20 were good, where as the saturn didn't have as many games but had a much better Quality:Quantity ratio.

Most of the people that 'hate' on the Saturn never owned one, or weren't around for the PSX vs Saturn era.

Yeah, that's true. Before the PSX was called "PSX." Those were the days.
Then came 9/9/99 with the super awesome dreamcast (outside Japan). Too bad it had a short life.
