If the game is too fast it is because you do not have sync audio turned on. There is a large performance hit with it (beyond that of the frame limiter), but it is the only way to keep things in sync.

Is the high FPS occurring with this on?

You must understand that as the an emu progresses it can become slower because more things are actually being emulated. A good example is Shenmue 2. It had many issue with objects and textures disappearing. So naturally it will run faster because those things are not being displayed. Now it is fixed, so it should be slower. It is just the nature of the beast.

Raz is working hard on putting optimizations in to get some of that speed back. I would imagine you will see an improvement in 1.0.4.
Well, actually, I get faster speeds in the newer nullDC and there's less graphical problems. But I can understand why that would be in future releases.

I remember being rather disappointed way back in the day when I could run Visual Boy Advance and get full-speed GBA emulation and then in the next release or two I started getting framerate problems.

Quality>Quantity

IMO, there's no use playing a graphical hodgepodge at fullspeed.

Glitchy. Runs with a lot of graphical errors, at the moment. But it is playable.

Yep, that P4's garbage. Slap in a Core 2 and watch nullDC fly
I had exactly the same specs right now, except my video is a 6600 LE (which is worse, I know). So I gathered a few bucks and I am planning an upgrade to my PC so what you recommend.

I was thinking in changing to the AMD's Phenom 9.6 Ghz Quadcore and a video of 600$us what you say? any suggestions? any feedback would be welcome.

Currently, Intel's Core architecture is superior, performance wise, than anything AMD's got to offer. My CPU is nicely faster than a Phenom at 3GHz (a clock speed which is much harder to reach on Phenom than Core), and it's the low end Allendale core, which only has 2MB L2, but high multiplier (9.0) due to the low 800MHz FSB.

If you aren't an avid overclocker, the C2D E8400 (3GHz Wolfdale, 6MB L2), costs ~$170 US right now. If you are, low end models E4600 (2.4GHz Allendale, 2MB L2) & E7200 (2.53GHz Wolfdale, 3MB L2), are $119 US and can both be very effortlessly pushed to 3+GHz with the right components and knowledge... I'm an overclocker, so I saved a LOT of money and got blazing performance when I built my computer to where it is now in early 07.

Aside from inherent multitasking improvements, more cores does not equal more performance. Applications have to intelligently split their workload into separate threads to take advantage of additional CPU cores. With that in mind, and you should know this, a dual core CPU at 3.0GHz does not equal one big CPU at 6.0GHz.

Either way, it's hard to recommend AMD right now.

Yeah I was reading some post and they agree that Core Duo are better in performance for games because currently not all games uses more than 2 cores right now.

Also I had a budget of 1500$ to spent in a Gamer PC so Do you have a good spec in mind for this price maybe thinking also in PSX2 emulation. I love overclocking too.

Your thinking of the beta 6. In 1.0.3 all those glitches are gone. I played through about 30min of Shenmue 2 with near perfect graphics.

I played it in 1.0.3 too, and it was glitchy like beta 6. Strange...

Crap. I thought it was an input plugin for the "Dreamcast" version (so we can use gamepads). There's no way you can tell otherwise from the title. They really, really, really need different names - so we don't have to keep qualifying each thing by stating WHICH version of NullDC we're talking about. This confusion will only continue for the years these projects are active and probably beyond that. How about NullDC & NullNaomi?
