There's an Atomiswave dump from the latest mame version, wonder if the emu author could test it somehow, to see if could work.

It's Fist of the North Star.

But i think the Bios is needed, is that already dumped too?

Cheers

It doesn't. =\
Can anyone play Test Drive Le Mans at full speed? Every other game seem to work at full speed except this.

Good job on the emulator but it really hinders the game experience when you can't use a controller Out of curiosity what is so hard at developing one for this version rather than the last?

Basically, the main coder(s) ...busy doing fixes to the main core, so the plugins are not in the first highest priority, unless they make a documentation about plugins (plugins specification) so others may contribute in the project by developing their own plugins.

Anyway don´t forget that nullDC now support NAOMI (nullDC-Naomi), so I think correct bugs and add more games is very time-consuming also raz said he got some exam this week, so the progress gonna be slow.

Dunno how many of you care, but I made a video of games running in NullDC.

Gametrailers.com - The Dreamcast is Still Thinking by BlazeHedgehog

'Cept for Phantasy Star Online. Cheated with that one and used the PC version.

man.. what are your specs?? i have a 1.83ghz intel core 2 duo, 2.5gbs of ram, and an nvidia 7400 256mb running xp pro, and sonic adventure 2 is slow as hell. fresh install of xp, newest drivers and directx etc. the initial nulldc release runs too fast, but this release as well as the last two are too slow to even play. any ideas?

3.2ghz Pentium 4
2GB of DDR2 SDRAM
GeForce 6600 GT
Windows XP Home

It's important to note that I just barely get full speed in a lot of games. It'll hover around 60fps but every now and then it'll dip below and the sound will get a little crackly. Not sure if that's the emulator or just my system.

I will admit, though, I did a little trick to record the video as smoothly as I did: FRAPS will force whatever program you are recording video in down to the framerate you are recording at. So, I recorded a lot of my footage at half speed (30fps) and then sped it back up to 60fps when I was done. This meant smooth framerates with no drops - because there's no way I could record footage at full speed.

Yep, that P4's garbage. Slap in a Core 2 and watch nullDC fly.

Yes, well, I don't have a lot of money, so I'm going to have to stick with what I got. Besides, I'm happy with it - I only upgraded to this system a year ago. Before then, I was on a 1.3ghz with 256mb of RAM and a GeForce 3 Ti.

This is, obviously, a massive step up from that, and I am thankful for it.

Hi, I've been following nullDC's progress over the last few months and its great to see it maturing like this.

I've registered here to ask one question, how well is Shenmue 2 running on this? I've been reading that its been patchy at best on earlier versions of nullDC

Kudos to the people who took the time to make nullDC what it is

so i have a faster system.. and it runs much slower? something must be wrong...i think sonic runs at like 20fps for me. im really not trying to complain. i just dont understand why an earlier version would run extremely fast and the newest runs extremely slow for me.. also how could what is technically a slower system run the emulator faster? are the newer versions of nulldc geared torwards older types of cpus or something?

im running a celeron 2.13 and its oc'd to 2.76ghz
pc2700 512mb of ram...and a radeon x1050

but yeah nulldc runs like butter, especially after a thorough defrag and some registry tweaks

Shenmue 2

Shenmue 2 is an incredible videogame masterpiece and runs beautifully on nulldc 1.0.3 with the improvements to graphics (4xaa is amazing and fast with my HD4850). Can't wait for nulldc next version's analog stick support and, who knows, fixes to little sound and gfx (shadows and fog) glitches. Great job, devs. A big thank you from a brazilian gamer.

Don't let the higher number fool you, a 6600GT beats a 7400 easy. Your CPU is definitely better though.

You must understand that as the an emu progresses it can become slower because more things are actually being emulated. A good example is Shenmue 2. It had many issue with objects and textures disappearing. So naturally it will run faster because those things are not being displayed. Now it is fixed, so it should be slower. It is just the nature of the beast.

Raz is working hard on putting optimizations in to get some of that speed back. I would imagine you will see an improvement in 1.0.4.

yea i fully understand what your saying. i realize that as more things are implemented over time it will run slower. makes perfect sense. ive seen that happen in emulators ive used in the past, but the speed decrease for me with null is pretty drastic. 1.0 runs like 110fps+ i cant even play the games its so fast. yet with this version its way too slow. most other people seem to be having more success than me. just makes me think im doing something wrong, ha. anyway, maybe the future releases will work better for me like you said
