Can't select nullPvr?

Looking around some more and at the thread I already made, I seem to have come to the conclusion that something is wrong here. For some reason I am unable to choose nullPvr as my graphics plugin. Is this a Vista issue? Setting it manually in the CFG file gives me an error (104) when running the application.

Try extracting the original download to a different folder and running it without any changes. If it works just bring your VMU files over and reconfigure it.

Doesn't work. I always get the following error:

"Unable to load nullPvr_Win32.dll plugin , errorlevel=-104"
It will then prompt me to choose a plugin, with Chankast's PVR being the only choice. Failure to choose anything will make the application close.

Install the latest DirectX 9c version. There's a link to it somewhere in the readme.

Again, not so good since that link is for DirectX 9 and I am on DirectX 10, which I'm pretty sure is the latest version.

Let me get this straight... You're coming here having a problem, I offer the solution to it and you decline the solution because you're so sure about yourself...

I never said I didn't try your solution. Sorry if I mislead you.
Downloaded, extracted, ran, rebooted. Problem persists.
If there is some sort of proceedure inolved in rolling DX10 back to 9 and what issues that may cause, I'd be grateful to know about that too. If I were sure of myself I wouldn't be here, so calm down a bit and try not to jump to conclusions next time.
For now I'm going to go check on removing DX10, although I probably won't if it's too much trouble over a single game.

DirectX 10 has nothing to do with DirectX 9.
Are you sure you installed the November runtimes from here?

do this, make a copy of your plugin folder, make a copy somewhere else for a second, delete the original folder, try to start null and it will not work, then move the folder back in, if not then reinstall 1.6 all over again with the new plugins.

This happened to me when i copyed my nulldc files from desktop to my laptop.. i think installing 9.0c would help either way ..if it doesnt help it doesnt help but no harm in trying..it doesnt matter if your on dx10 ..installing old dx files go into the dx library for software to use .. fresh unrar also as stated would help

DX10 is not an update to DX9 in a traditional sense. Vista has DX9 *AND* DX10 in it. They are completely separate. Also you cannot uninstall DX9 or DX10. You can only update them.

What needs upgrade are the Direct3DX9 (d3dx9_35.dll & co) runtimes, not DirectX or Direct3D.D3DX9 (and D3DX10) are updated every two months, so unless you recently updated you'l need to run the updater.

*edit*
For your information, error -104 is "dll load failed", that means the LoadLibrary Windows call failed, and that means the DLL has missing dependecys (like d3dx9) and windows cannot load it

Just google for d3dx9_35.dll, copy it to the same dir as you unpacked nullDC, and it will run.

What game are you playing? What's you're system specs?

The game or your graphics card may not be compatible with nullpvr.

The slow down may be because of your system specs.

Can you be a bit more specific.

Like, for example, is it a Mobile Intel Pentium 4? What is it clocked at?

Try re downloading nulldc and placing all the plugins from the download into the the plugins folder.

May be bad sound and graphics plugins.
