I also wanted to know if (but most of all how exactly) it is possibly to change (or convert) a Pokemon Perla (=Pearl) save (extension sav) of No$GBA into .gds (Nintendo DS format made by Xploder). I've tried it on the converter site and also with a program called XsaverDS. The conversion take place and seems OK (both on the converter site and also with the program. But then when i want to copy it (with Xploder) fm PC to DS (original Pearl) Game Card I get an error. Something like Corrupted Save File as GameSave data information was not found in .gds file. I've done some searching on the net. Some people speaks about changing the header in the file with a Hexeditor. But it's hard to understand what it means and hard to see if there is really a good way to copy a NO$GBA save to my DS card ?? I hope somebody in here have some really good suggestions and also had some good experience in doing this "transfer" |

Well...finally I managed !! First I have saved my game in NO$GBA in the "uncompressed" way. Then I converted the NO$GBA .sav into .gds format (for DS-Xploder with the online converter. After that with a Hex-editor I cut the first 256 bytes (fm 0 to 255 !!!) because that's the header. Then I replaced the header with the original header of a DS-Xploder .gds save. Then I transferred this new file in the "usual" way fm my PC to my Pokemon Pearl card with the Xploder software. I tested it on the console of my son and it worked !!! So now this is working I will try a next step. trying to "cheat" a little with (program) Pokesav. See if it works on my NO$GBA Emulator and if it works I will convert the sav file again to gds format with the online converter of Shuny. Thx a lot Shuny for yr great (online) converter !! |

Sorry Shuny...why you say can't fix it ?? I just wrote before your post I managed to convert the file (by using yr converter), then changed the header of yr converted file (with a hexeditor) by replacing it with the header of my original file (made by the Ds-Xploder software) and then I transferred this "new" file back to my original Card and it worked great on the console of my son. I also tested now : Creating .gds file by Xploder software, converting it by yr converter, opening the file in NO$GBA. Saving it (uncompressed) by NO$GBA, using this file with No$GBAtoVBA.exe to "prepare" it for editing with Pokesav. In Pokesav I made some changes like some Pokemon to level 99, more money etc. Then I saved the file (with Pokesav). Opened this file in NO$GBA to check if the changes made by Pokesav were visible (and they were !!) and then I did the routine I described before to transfer this new file to my DS (with the Xploder) And until now everything seems to work !! Now I will see if I dare to "cheat" a little more with POKESAV....... Thx Shuny and others..... |

It look likes the header is unique for each savegames. You wouldn't be able to convert your save if you didn't have your header. That's my actual problem, maybe I'll found a way to generate an header but for now I'm sorry but I'm not able to fix it. If somebody has information about the GDS header it would be useful

And I do it with an Hexeditor. And it really doesn't take much time to do it after I converted the file with yr converter. So untill you will find a solution to do it automatically I am very happy the same. One minute more or less of work is not that much, isn't it ?? |

Hi, I don't mean to steal the thread or anything, but my problem is related to this. Is there a way for me to change my save game from My Acekard 2i to No$GBA without using that site? the when ever it's converting it always gives me an Internal 500 problem. I think it's because the save game is too big and it takes forever for the converting to take place. Shouldn't my save game work though? It's just a normal SAV file. I dropped it into my BAttery folder but it's still not recognized in the game. |
