once you have chosen your settings then click on save settings and restart the game. it should work after that

I want to play final fantasy III but it doesnt work with any save format

Because how to actually obtain the savetypes has been said repeatedly and can be found in various threads with just a bit of effort.
Also as soon as another version is released 2.6a will become free and with it it's auto savetype detection and then this will all become redundant anyways.

This list is far from completed. If this was stickied, and newbs decided to read it (very unlikely), it would be swarmed with questions about games not listed. It's easier to hope that newbs will read the FAQ, and direct themselves to the thread that explains everything more detailed and includes a site with a more complete and detailed list of save types.
