Am I dreaming??

If its not fast enough, get a better computer, that'll be the soundest advice. Pentium II can't rally handle DS emulation, btw

Nothing really has a significant effect.

As I am a PC gamer I know all about system optimisation and have tried closing some Virus Protection software and lowering my resolution or removing my wallpaper or changeing to the Windows Classic theme...however nothing had any real effect..maybe half a percent more...

You won't see a jump from 20% to perfect by doing anything.

In short this thread is useless.

Plus, add on the fact that Martin optimizes this emulator so well, makes it redundant even to do these things...

Are you using no$gba? 'cause I am and I haven't seen such a thing you mention there.

its not nosgba, its like what he said "compatibility tab in properties",
well actually closing other programs smoothen it out a bit because it slowsdown nosgba to cause it some frameskipping specially if the program uses much memory like firefox,
but not getting any faster just gotten rid of the choppiness in some games.

umm all i can say is personal experience... tried on my non-genuine Intel pentium 4 1.7ghz and it was slow like badly (no sound and slow on zelda) but with the my bro's laptop Genuine intel dual core 1.7ghz worked like a charm... then again i don't care much now since DS is in the house

basically if you want your emulator to run faster then you just need a better computer that has better performance

There is a performance cap though. Some games simply will not run prefectly yet.

I think the best way to speed up emulation is buying a Intel core 2 extreme with 3 ghz.

I am obviously joking.

Not anymore. Since Martin discovered his 3D acceleration options, the Emu now also works with the Gpu.
