game saves disapearing
i had a game of bleach blade of fate and i started playing pokemon pearl (none of the problems some pplz have reported i think) but my save for bleach was gone after i played for quite a while also most of the game of pokemon hadnt saved when i went back today there is quite a bit of what i did that didnt end up saving.
has this happened to anyone else and what could have caused this issue because i very much doubt i will be able to get the saves i have lost back but perhaps it is an easily fixed issue that can be fixed in the next version? |

sorry can't help you ive never experience anything like this, maybe you deleted or move the folder accedentally and you didnt notice it, and open the game, and by default no$gba created a new batery folder
but um have you check your battery folder if there is any file at all |

yes all the saves that should be in the battery folder are there. and unless i accidentally deleted them by going through all of about 8 odd clicks to get into the NO$GBA folder then the battery folder then the specific save without realising.
still accidental deletion doesn't explain why my Pokemon pearl save stopped saving after i beat the galaxy dude that was stealing peoples Pokemon. |

so bleach save file is there then that would mean that you overwright it accedentally that would happen if you run the with the wrong save type, that might have happen when you finished playing pokemon and run bleach without changing the save type
the pokemon thing must have been a crash sorry cant reply fast cause im not using the keboard because it broke on me im using the accessibility one from the computer |

its possible that it did overwrite accually because to my knowledge bleach auto saves so if i used the wrong save type and went into the game that cud be why my game wasnt there. oooops
![]() no probs with the replying speed i have to go to sleep soon neway lol |

yeah most games do that so to be safe i set my no$gba to run in the firmware first and backup my save files everytime i finished playing oh and when playing unstable game that crashes from unknown reason is stop from time to time and save and close the no$gba and back up cuz you never know what might happen sudenly crashes on you and youve just played for hours

well the pokemon game didnt accually crash it was working perfectly fine (appart from having to have it on unlimited 10% to compensate for the slow down) but i was saving almost every 20 mins but i should have probably closed the emu and reopened it occasionaly.
im wondering since the save types arent auto if we could chose the save type and the game at the same time rather than having to reset the cartridge once you have changed it? |

I was playing FF12: revenant wings and my game save disappeared after no$gba crashed. When I loaded the save game, it reverted to the previous save (one mission back).
Another thing: when there's heavy 3D rendering and lots of action, the music and video proceeds very slowly. The music sounds perfect during in game menu (eg inventory checks) or in other games with little or no 3D such as Phoenix Wright. I am wondering: Is the sluggish emulation due to my com specs (P4 3ghz, 512Mb RAM, xpsp2, el cheapo geforce 8 card)... or is this normal for the emulator as it is now? Is there a 'minimum required specs' for a pc to carry out acceptable NDS emulation? |

there really no different in performance in other specs
the reverting happen because the program crashed it doesnt write anything if it crashed so it the save file is just as it is when you last properly closed the emu and final fantasy tends to crashed at some point, it also crashed on me when i kind of a left it unplayed for awhile then it stoped moving and crashed wasted half an hour of game play well the slowdown is not uncommon i think most of us experience it when there 3d rendering even though theres already some frameskipping it just shows that the emu is still undrdevelopment so no need to worry about the com specs |

oooooh now i remember i was playing pokemon and i minimized the emu while i was in a battle and when i went back i couldnt get it to move again(i had done similar with out of battle that i got it to move again)
i think i closed it after that but still the save was a couple of hours previous when i had saved atleast 10 times between then and when it "crashed" (froze) |

Don't minimise the emu, it emulates closing the DS, which causes the emu to crash playing some games, which means all saves will be lost.

The same for Trace Memory. You have press the ink on the paper to reveal something and it works.
