On a related note, is it possible to FORCE no$gba to SAVE the battery information without closing the emu?
right now it only saves the battery information when I close it normally. But on a crash the results won't get saved. (just asking since I just played pokemon for 4 hours and had a rom crash error and noticed it didn't save anything since last time I closed the emu, abnd I did save often enough in game) Also, I might not respond for the next few days, my uncontrollable screaming might cause me to get sent to a mental institution for a while Last edited by scribly; December 5th, 2007 at 02:28. |

Yes you do have a good point. It would be cool if they implented an auto save state option, though that's not possible with the battery. However, this would slow down the cpu because it would have to constanly update the file automaticly. If it tried to save after it crashed, it would also save the problem as well. So the next time you would load, it would cause another crash. Please correct me if I am wrong as this is based mainly on theory.

Don't you think if there was such a thing that I would have then told you about it?

Just save an close the emulator frequently. And make back-up of your battery file too just to be on the safe side (at least I do so, though I don't close the emulator very frequently, but this is because the emu never crashed with the games I'm playing for now).

and that what i would say being lazy and annoying, cant it already get into your head that its not implemented yet because its not the main priority of the developer and would you prefer that the game not crashing than a save state but still crashes
and sorry to be rude |

Hey relax. I'm not pushing anyone to add an auto-save feature. I'm just posting what I think would be a cool add on for NO$GBA. |

yeah i think it would be cool too but i kinda abuse it on vba, specially when i get sleepy and in the middle of a battle or dialog that so freaking long and might not be able to wake up for a whole day because i love sleeping to much and i cant just keep the computer from running without downloading something cuz that would be a waste of electricity and would get myself scolded because of the electric bill
ha....cant wait for the next release sorry bout earlier my isp just ****ed up |

Anyway I really agree with cursedseraph, I really abused too of the save state in vba (and in other emu too, snes9x, mame after I understood the way it works, winkawaks, basically every emu I've used). It's fine to play like a real man for some time. |
