No$gba bug thread

I'll track bugs for games from version to version and add them to the list along with whether or not a demo is available. When they're fixed I'll mark the bug as such. When they are available, I'll post workarounds.

I'm not sure what you mean by demos so I'm not quite sure if the following are legal "enough" to send to martin or not, but:

Famicom Wars demo (japanese) contains a blank menu and a glitchy map.
True swing golf contains a small black square in the beginning. (and yes, all bugs are equally significant)
lara croft tomb raider legend demo or whatever has, after defeating the first bad guy, opaque light (aka something that's supposed to be transparent light but isn't transparent)

demos can be found here : Official DS Downloadable WMB Demos (website says it's legal. sorry if it isn't)

anyway, I have a feeling that martin already knows of all these bugs except possibly the ones that happen after the first second of gameplay (not that I checked much further). but who knows. Probably him. Send it to him and tell us what he says.

There are tons of bugs in 'real' games, of course, but I see little point in listing them as it has been done numerous times before, seems to have no effect on the emulator and is subject to change in each version. At least for now.

Don't worry, those are considered legal. (Nintendo gives the rom images away for free!)

I can't say that I share the feeling about Martin knowing about the bugs. He only has a handful of commercial games, and likes when we can give him detailed bug reports with demos. I've been in communcation with him (a lot of which was giving him cheat code documentation along with Kenobi).

Oh, and if the list is kept up-to-date and demos are found for existing games, then bug may end up getting fixed. (Rockman gave Martin a Clubhouse Games demo and he fixed up the graphics nicely the next version)

Plus, it's nice to see a premade list of why your game may not work.

It's part of Download Station 7 as far as I know. So look for that.

By the way, I assume that Spectrobes has the exact same problem as Need for Speed Carbon as everything is black once you land on the planet.

Luminous Arc
NPCs can stack up on the same square, even with PCs. Annoying, but not disabling.

Sometimes it's just there heads that appear, the rest of the body is invisiable.
Also, I'm not sure if it's been fixed in this version, but you can't get past a certain point. I think you can't get past this float castle event, cause it crashes before you can do it. Emulator doesn't crash, the game just will go black screen.

Oh yeah, I remember reading about that here somewhere. If I ever find exactly where it crashes I suppose I could add it.

Megaman StarForce: all is fine till you enter on a battle against the virus, the top screen where you fight the virus is all black except for the HP of Megaman, the HP points of the virus and the gauge line that fills up so you can press the buttons L or R to use the cards again.
