really! toggling it is really helpful because pressing the + button is hard because i use it most of the time so i always stick something near the +key so whenever i click somewhere else than the touchscreen i have to rig it up again, im really looking forward to it

nice program btw

About minimizing emulator window:
tested it with Meteos. If it runs on stand-alone no$gba, minimizing window paused the game, when it runs with Nds2xgl, minimizing don't have any effect. Emulation doesn't stop in both cases.

i understand... sorry for that, besides the fact that im checking the forum very often... im progressing slowly into nds2xgl due to personal problems... traitors, monetary problems, i need to move to some other place... and keep going.., so this make me incapable of define some release date... but i will say this it will NOT take longer than the next NO$GBA release (at least the same week), ok? =)

If mysoft would add that feature, he would break a emu feature, the "close NDS feature" would work, anymore, so it would be a bad idea to do...

better yet - could you, mysoft, make minimizing nds2xgl do nothing (except the actual minimizing) and instead do the whole hinge close/unclose when the user selects a certain menu option or something like that? That doesn't sound too hard, right?

EDIT : I don't think so, squall. But I guess that's something only mysoft will be able to tell.

impossible, this would require NoGBA itself to be changed.

and redcomet86 if people whant to post request it is okay it is only up to the maker of the Nds2xgl to decide if he wants to take time or effort to put these options into this program

yeah, it can be done, nds2xgl is other window than the NO$GBA one, i need to trick it thiking that it have minimized (and then restored) to deactivate... is the same thing for a option... or for (minimizing nds2xgl)

I think my description not clear enough.
I'll try to describe what i wanted to say with examples of actions and Nds2xgl response:

Window lose focus (not by minimizing) - emulation paused.
Window minimized - "lid closed" event handled, then emulation paused.
Window receive focus - emulation resumed.

lose focus means that you are activating or open another window so the activated/new window will have the focus... (then emulation paused) and then when you click into no$GBA or select it into the taskbar, or changing into it using ALT+TAB or whatever... means that the window will have the focus again (and resume emulation)

you know... VisualBoyAdvance have this option ^^"

...not quite what I meant

I was trying to understand what that person meant...as no$gba already regains focus whenever it should (unless minimised)...at least what understand by focus..

What he means to say is that it would be nice if, when you click some other program/window, emulation would simply pause until you click the emulator's window again. Maximizing/Minimizing is not needed for this.

It already does that though does it not? At least clicking the dektop itself whilst no$gba is running pauses it, and it can easily be resumed by just clicking on no$gba again...unless something changed on the new version.

Focus is ability to interact with window objects.

For example, when you type URL in address field of browser, this field has focus.
Now you typed URL and go to needed page.
You want to scroll it down to the end and click on scrollbar.
Address field loses focus, scrollbar receives focus.
While you reading page, somebody send you a message via ICQ. To read it you click ICQ icon. Browser window loses focus, ICQ window receives focus and so on.

Hope this will help you.If not - just see what option "Pause whe inactive window" in VisualBoyAdvance does.
