What does it mean when either M5,M4 or M3 appear in title of Rom?

Hello

Just wondering what the M5, M4 & M3 means when they appear in some titles of games? What is the difference (if any) between say two of the same game and one stating its M3 version?

Thank you

We don't discuss roms here. Read the rules.

the rom codes are not covered by this rule, and infact if you dump your rom and then use goodwindows to check the rom, it will usually be renamed with the code.

in this case i don't see a problem with telling him what the codes mean as he hasn't told us at all that he warezed them, unless your seeing something im not schumi. as always im applying the blissfully ignorant tactic and assuming that he actually has 2 carts of the same game with different revisions.

anyway, we talk about roms all the time, what we don't talk about is contained in the rule quoted.

could a staff member comment on this please?

i find that total BS

ngemu hosts goodwindows which has this information available so theres no reason it shouldn't be freely available on the forum.

see here NGEmu - Download

stating we can't talk about goodrom codes is hypocritical when they host that file.

yet again, you all assume that the user has downloaded the file, when he may have just come into possession of some imports. he never stated he downloaded it, ANYWHERE. so get off your merry high horses because none of you legally have the games either, so your no different.

sick of these wannabe moderators on the forums.

as far as its concerned the information is already on the site by being in the program so here it is for all to see

Schumi, rockman, that was unneeded, and somewhat not very nice.
No need to keep that topic alive further squall, btw

Funnily enough, the fact this doesn't have much if anything to do with No$GBA has been overlooked

I don't see how it was cold? I also was not aware the dumping a game from a different region automatically applies that code when using the tool. I thought release groups did that themselves so it would apply only to downloaded roms. I aint ever dumped a multiple language game.

no, Goodwindows+Goodprograms compare against a internal library of.. i think its md5 or crcs or something, to tell if its a good dump. and then apply the codes to indicate the type of rom it is.
