No$gba 2.4e released

03 September 2007 - version 2.4e
- nds/3d: internal diag screen shows used opengl driver vendor/renderer/version
- nds: emulates hinge folded/closed (game window wm_poschanged/isiconic check)
- gba/cheat: fixed some unreported bugs, help: added some missing decrypt info
- nds/cheat: supports actionreplay/codebreaker codes (freeware/gaming ver only)
- nds/help: actionreplay/codebreaker specs (thanks kenobi and dualscreenman)
- nds/help: added info on changing key2 seed (romctrl.15) (thanks chishm/idea)

no$gba - nocash gameboy advance emulator

Nice. Looks like a sweet update. Though I'm scared that the small save loading problem of the Pokemon games isn't fixed. ^^;

it fully works all code types?

edit: strange, i tried use some of my custom asm hacks (for CBDS) it doesn't work... but it works in old version (the code actually write to the specified locations, but the game doesn't execute the arm instructions)

edit2: forget about it, for SOME reason, a BX LR instruction that was always executed in the old version isn't anymore... lol

edit3: no, it looks like nogba don't want to execute them lol

edit4: pointer codes not supported (both cbds and ards)

what he really need to implement is the transparency fix XD anyway, i like the partial cheat support XD at least some codes works as they should.


edit: slide code not supported too. i guess the next version he'll add more.

Always good to see a new version.

And a lot of you fans of obscure little features finally got your lid closing being emulated.

Can someone host it for me somewhere (like at zshare)...the download is not updating itself for me.

Your ASM hacks aren't going to work because they work on the ARDS/CBDS by hacking the code handler to execute ASM. Since no$gba doesn't use the AR/CB software these hacks won't work.

no, i use custom bx lr jumps :P and the code wasn't working because i made a mistake in the first line of the code. it works now.

Wow, I did not expect a new Version so soon. Lets see how this will work out. A few guys in the German Emuforum meant that the Emulator got way better since version 2.4c. They say it got faster and the Sound works better. But Martin did not change anything in this area. Can anybody confirm that?

No changes in the emulation core whatsoever, besides the emulation of the virtual lid.
I see no differences performance-wise from 2.4b
