Bugs, glitches and problems reports (no$gba v2.4d)

I believe that no$gba Author will take a look at this thread...
I think it is a good idea to show a problem not only write about it, that's why I've recorded short videos. Let's make this topic helpful for Mr. Korth

Let me start with Lunar Genesis game. It has buggy sound and displaying problems in battles. See below:

more to come...

The sound issues are being caused by the fact that the game isn't running at full speed. It's impossible for the emulator to sync sound if it isn't running full speed, and as a result you get crackles.

In short, don't expect good sound for the games that don't run at full speed.

You can turn sound emulation off in the options menu.
Oh, and sound is pretty much perfect in Sonic Rush, Yoshi's Island, and some others that I can't remember right now. Possibly NSMB on faster computers.

Well I aint posting any videos (don't have the bandwidth to upload them)....but I have listed major bugs quite a few times before on other threads, so Martin Korth can fine them if he needs to.

There are only a few actual bugs. The strange stretched 3D objects which some games have, the flickering which can be seen in Sprung and Clubhouse Games, the ghosting from Spyro and Xaolin Showdown, the super slow loading from Wario and the few crashes and unsupported games.

Almost everything else is related to missing 3D (which is obviously because the emulator is still under eraly development), the transparency issue (which I think also cause major slow downs), or your hardware just not being strong enough to run the emu fast enough (every sound issue, even the strange sound duplication which some games have).

Well I suppose the transparency thing is also a bug...but it's present in lot's of games, which indicates more to me that it's something that's just not complete yet.

Sorry to disapoint you, but this thread will not help Martin at all. He doesnt have the bandwith to load this videos and as he said, it doesnt help him when you say how the bug is. He needs the Info from the Debugger version of the Emulator which almost nobody of us has.

I see...
Well that's okay. At least I've learned how to record videos(or rather capture screen). Oh and imo small bandwidth is not that big problem... My connection is really slow(160kbps) and I have only 7kbps of uploading speed yet I live somehow
Peace

Dial Up has 3 kb/s down and 1 kb/s up, which is what Martin has.

What video capture software was that?

I have 30 upload speed and 50 download speed....but my connection is capped every month at 3GB, and for some strange reason if I watch flash videos (even small ones) it takes a huge chunk of that, same goes for uploading.

That would be completely pointless....

It would make more sense to just list all the games that work perfectly....but this too is dependant on your PC...so it's actually pointless aswell.

Seriously we have done all we can until there are some more graphical improvements.
