Save/Load problem

My screen either freezes or an error that says it crashed comes up when I load a Snapshot.

It is probably not the save type; as I ran Children of mana (which is told that it is perfectly compatible) and used the recommanded save type (8kb) and load a save and crashed.

Very often when I load the save the screen of the save comes up, then it stops moving and freezes.

And btw, I can get the rom running perfectly fine, problems only arise when I try to load.

Is there any solution? Thanks for reading.

P.S. Magical Starsign is an awsome game (the sequel to Magical Vacation on the GBA), anyone played it before?

No$GBA Snapshots for DS Emulation are not supported yet. You have to use internal games saves together with the correct backup type.

I am not sure what the correct backup type is incase that does not work either.

No I have not played either of the games before.

I had played it for a short on no$gba and dont see any wrong with it but you will have to play for more than an hour or so to see if there are any crashed which I hadn't test yet.

Thanks for answering, I got Children of Mana working.

As of Magical Starsign, it actually only takes around half an hour to run through the beginning scenes. But anyway, I've tried doing in game saves for it but when I reset the game and try to load, no save files shows up. (no "load" option even appears on the title screen.)
I suppose this is one of those games that cannot save. (I only tried one save type, but even if it is a wrong save type it should at least display that there is a save, right?)

And btw, Magical Starsign doesnt crash. In a spot where it gets into the first battle in the game tho, Desmume does run into a black screen, but with no$gba it runs through it with about 2/3 the speed (60~80%).

Again thanks for answering.

P.S. after I made an in game save, no files are built in the directory where the rom is placed nor in the folders of the no$gba folder. Is this normal? Also, if I want to see the size of the save file, how can I do so?

If you use wrong save type, then it doesn't save at all - hence, no saves show up when you reset. Even if it seems like it saves correctly in the game, doesn't mean that it did. It's pretty much the same for all games.

That game is fully playable - well, I haven't finished it, but it certainly hasn't crashed or anything so far. You just have to use the correct save type.
