Can't load any rom!!

When I try to load any NDS rom the emulator says
"The rom-image has crashed"...
Why? How can I solve this problem?
Thanks

Well, what emulator are you using? Most newer games have that error message so wait till the emulator gets a bit more developed.
Try using the newer deSmuME 0.6.0...

Oh lol i think it was obvious
I'm using "no$gba version 2.3d", i know I need a NDS bios or something like that (like in DC emulation i think) but i don't know what to do after obtaining the bios.

I think u dont re-encrypt the roms.
You can download this software from this link (or zelda!): http://www.gbadat.altervista.org/gba....2_NDS-iND.zip
extract the file & put your rom(s) in the same directory, then run software. and type "1" to re-encrypt rom(s). (software re-encrypt roms automatically)
finally u can run game.
good luck.

I used the eNDecryptS, as you suggested, but it didn't appear to work. ^^; They're in the same folder, and everything...Nevertheless, I've tried three different roms, one of which I'm sure is on the supported roms list, and another that appears to have screenshots to prove that it's working.

Is there something else I might be doing wrong?

theres nothing you can do, try no$gba and DeSmuME, if neither work, youll have to wait till a release does

That "rom-image has crashed"-message has nothing to do with waiting for some version that supports the game. If you've got everything set up correctly, you'll never see that message with this emu.

The emu plainly states when you're missing required files. If that doesn't happen and it still crashes with that message, then the only conclusion that I can think of is that the user simply doesn't use the encrypting tool correctly. With that tool, it's simple toggle - you run it once, and it decrypts encrypted roms, and vice versa. You run it twice, and you end up where you started... -_-;

I figured it was a toggle option...I'm not that stupid, contrary to what you may think. ^^;
Well, I had probably toggled it on and off. However, I also toggled, tried the emu (NO$GBA), rom-image crashed. Then I toggled with it again, opened the emu again, and it still had the same message. The encrypt/decrypt software always sends a message, but it always closes too quickly for me to read it. However, the first time that I tried, I recall it saying that the encryption/decryption failed...I think. That one also appeared very quickly, but it stayed long enough for me to read it. In that case, is it continuously failing to encrypt/decrypt?

no its not continuously failing... i have experienced that same problem before but i resolved it by changing the rom's filename to a smaller one... instead of for example "0XXX - Digimon World DS (U).nds" change it to something smaller like "Digimon.nds"... and the enDryptS application won't fail/close... =)

Incase your a Vista user I don't think eNDryptS will work for you as it's DOS and therefore has issues with Vista.

Edit: Or as I just saw what the previous poster said may be true, DOS does not understand spaces, and really long names it replaces the rest of with ~ after I think 6 letters.

It should work on vista, as ndstool is a win32 application, not a DOS app. And it accepts long names, so it must be encryptDS's fault :P

Thank you very much. That helped, as I can now load the games. Unfortunately, they keep on saying that they're unable to read the data and that I need to turn off/reinsert the DS card.

Edit: Disregard the above. I got past that, but now I have black/gray-ish screens. I keep on changing the settings, but nothing happens. It occasionally makes noises, which are not supposed to be the game music as far as I can tell. It looks like people have fixed this error in the past by changing the setting, but so far, I can't get anything to work...
