The World Ends With You: Touch screen questions

No, I'm not talking about the touch screen not working, or the 'new game' button being blacked out.
The game is working perfectly for me, but I have a few questions..
Some badges require me to 'press' empty space, or 'scratch' an area.
'Slashing' and 'dragging' all works fine. The entire game works fine with the touch screen, but I can't seem to get the scratching or pressing to work..

Is there anyone out there who is able to help me with that?

Pressing means keeping the stylus pressed in one place. Click, hold, but don't move.
Scratching is pretty hard to do. Rapidly move the stylus up and down/left and right in a small area. It has worked for me, though not regularly. No$ still has some problems with too rapid motion.

Hmm.. Too bad..
A lot of the badges require scratching..

Still, I'm really happy everything else works, so I guess this doesn't really matter.
I've tried rapidly moving up and down, but no luck thus far.

Thank you for the trouble!

it might be easier to do if you increase the screen size a little (basically using a zooming app for it).

TWEWY only works using the zoom apps without gamebreaking video errors.
Scratching and shouting into the mic are the two most tedious means of attack; I just put them in into unnessessary slots or use shutdown PPs. I'm not sure whether any scratch pin needs fight PP to evolve.
