NO$Zoomer (Versatile addon which fixes some games but _ONLY_ WITH no$gba 2.6a)

Hi guys,

As many you already know, there's a freezing issue with the M&L RPG3 (J) at the battle with the cube (or blocky guy). I was wondering if someone has managed to pass this stage using the extra menu options. So far I've tried the EX01 to EX03 (all enabled).

I know desmume works fine with this, but just wondering if anyone got luck using this (because it's a lot faster).

I have no idea what could be causing this, it's a pretty weird occurrence. Tried redownloading both no$zoomer and no$gba as well; no luck.

If anyone knows if the EX options add anything to the .ini that i can manually add myself, please tell me.

Do you have screenshots of the part you say? I remember that a way to bypass the freezing is disabling the sound right when you're taken to the battle sequence, if it is with bowse when he is about to say "Showdown!" you have to disable the sound before that, the best is disabling when you get on the typical talking sequence before facing the boss, when you see bowser's face silhoutte (aka when he says showdown) enable the sound there and you will get into the battle without problem, that's what I did to go past the first boss you face with bowser.

But in your case I need to see some screenshots since I don't know which part you're exactly talking about.

By the way nice to see someone from Monterrey Mexico here I live in Monterrey Mexico too ^^

Back on topic, I think I got past it. This is the guy I was talking about:



To do it, just enable all the EX options *before* the battle, otherwise it won't work. Oh, and disable 'em after it, if you have problems (I think it froze for me once at some other part and it's a bit slower, keep in mind I don't know exactly what EX or combination solves this).

make absolutely sure you have the latest version... but seriously it works fine for me...

I definitely have the latest versions. I also tried setting the options to Key assignments, but nothing happens when i press the keys.

There isn't any need to upload the file to any file hosting sites. You can download the file in Squall's post that has the latest version as attachment or from the main website of the program.

Thanks! This ticked all of the EX options, but sadly, I don't think it actually made any changes, as SRT is still stuttering along.

peek427 are you using no$gba 2.6 or no$gba 2.6a?...cuz NO$Zoomer only works with 2.6a.

No$Zoomer does work in 2.6, but I'm guessing that some of the functions, such as game fixes, only works in 2.6a. I haven't fully tested this myself, so I'm not 100%.

Don't worry about it, since this is a forum to help anyone with emulation trouble... as long as they don't break any rules that is.

As so, if you know how to convert decimal number to/from binary, then you'll know how to switch on certain EX# option(s).

The instruction at 0x6954a66e refers to memory 0x00000000. read - or write operation ( "read") on the memory failed.

anyone knows :/?

anything else related to no$gba works normal, yes im using 2.6a

didnt have this problem with anything else on my comp either.

Try moving your no$gba folder closer to the root of your harddrive (ie. C:\no$gba)
