NO$Zoomer (Versatile addon which fixes some games but _ONLY_ WITH no$gba 2.6a)

Lol. Ok so I fixed the problem. The ver of no$zoomer I was using had al the EX options enabled. After going deselecting them the game saves load fine and doesnt' crash. I went through 2 differnt ver before I realized that that was the issue. All is well now. It was the EX all along.

I've been trying to get no$zoomer stable for a week now and those rampit ++ crashes are getting to be a pain. It turned out my issue is not with the EX, but when I exit the game.

How can I remap the exit from Alt-X to be a normal ESC so I can integrate it cleanly with a front end. The keymapping in No$Zoomer, when I press the ESC key it exits out of that window.

nm.. GameEx has an advanced config section that remaps ESC to Alt-X ... whoot

Anyone else having trouble with No$ZOOMER 2.3.0.2 and 2.6a No$GBA causing strange lag in the controls?

For instance, Pokemon Platinum and Dragon Quest V the game runs substantially slower but the sound is completely normalized. Is there a fix to this? I have all the EX things turned off.

decrease the process priority, or increase the priority of explorer.exe

I heard using the NO$zoom fixes the lag when you go on the overworld in DQ 4 and 5. Is that true?

You can assignment shortcut keys by going to Other>Key assignments, so I wouldn't say it only works in No$Zoomer at WinDS PRO pack.

"Press Ctrl+R" only works in no$zoomer at WinDS PRO pack =), but you can add this shortcut in the options >>> if you download no$zoomer at this page.

add this shortcut in the options.. OK? if you download no$zoomer at this page

... seriously, you can't change the shortcuts in WinDS PRO's No$Zoomer, despite the fact that the person who made this application hijacked other people's programs and slap a frontend on them? I don't know if you misread my post or not, since I was assuming you said that you can't changed the shortcuts in WinDS PRO's No$Zoomer.

Also, I forgot to mention this on my previous post. You can edit the shortcuts in No$Zoomer, not just in this page, as long as they have the Key assignments option.

im experiencing this when ex 5 is enabled in some games (kingdom hearts, ninja gaiden, FF I4)... the sound becomes normalize when ex 5 is turned on, but the gameplay seems to be slow (literally, slow motioned)...upon disabling ex 5, the game becomes laggy especially the sound... wonder why?
i hope the succeeding version of nozoomer will have a new ex option (like ex 6) that litterally fixes sound bugs as well as the game speed (like ex 5 does) but does not make your game slow-motioned instead, runs on the manner it should be... (upon switching ex=5, my emulation runs at 100% with 30+fps, but the game itself becomes slow-motioned,but w/o ex 5 turned on, some games like KH, FF 4 especially during fmv's becomes laggy and emulation runs at 80+% with 30+ fps and makes the sound lags pretty much...)

well, if im missing anything...a help with anyone will be appreciated

Hi, I'm trying to play Miami Law with No$Zoomer 2.3.0.2 but when I click on one of them, like EX1, to try and turn it on, it doesn't do anything. It's the same for all the other games. When I go back to the EXTRAs list again, I see that the extras all revert back to EX0. Help, please?

Do you use 2.6? Because if you're in 2.6, the Extras won't work.
If you have 2.6a, I don't know.
Pd: What operative system do you have, ángelofhope?

I thought that my no$gba was 2.6a until I read your comment and decided to investigate again.
As it turns out I was wrong, I only have 2.6.
I suppose that would be the problem, thank you very much! =]

Q1: Savegame doesn't load. A: Set correct save type. Look here, divide by 8!
Q2: "Cannot Read Data" error A: See above!
Q3: Snapshots? A: Only work for GBA games.
Q4: NDS linking, NDS with GBA slot, Picto-Chat, trading, ... A: Not yet available.

Well, I might have confirmed one of the extra options. It could probably use more testing.

EX1 clears up the Background being missing in The Lost Village in Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. If there's any other games with missing and/or messed up backgrounds, it might be worth flipping EX1 to see if it does anything. Another forum has posts proving it resolves background issues in Dragon Ball Kai: Saiyajin Raishuu, so this likely will help on those games exhibiting similar glitches.

I'm also (slowly) trying to translate the Readme to see if it says anything we haven't picked up on, but since the Readme I have is from 2.3.0.1, it has no info on the EX options. I don't know if 2.3.0.2 has a readme; if so could someone please post it? That will possibly have info on the EX options.
