Trade Evolution Pokemon (Alakazam, etc.) in no&gba

After extensive searching it appears to me that there is no way (yet) to trade in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl using no&gba thus the only way to acquire pokemon such as Alakazam and the Porygon evolutions is by hacking the save file. Can anyone confirm this? And how easy would that be for someone, such as myself, who has never done anything like it before?

Confirmed, that's the way it is...
[Do you really need confirmation after searching and reading those hundreds of topics?]

This is a very convenient time to also mention another hacking program that is perfect for what you need. Its call Evolution Editor and you can use it to change the pokemon evolution conditions in both Diamond and Pearl to anything you want(any level, any item, etc.), even all the pokemon who need to be traded to evolve! Trust me, it worked perfectly for me for evolving my Kadabra and Haunter, and you can always change it back to normal(just in case if No$gba goes Wifi)
Here you go, good luck!

No problem, here are some screenshots of it in action, along with proof that it works in pokemon diamond(No action replay used, THIS IS REAL!)

*Note: This will not work if you are playing the game at the same time, so make sure that the emulator is not running*

There's not really anything you have to change in the .ini file, and in terms of saved game files, there isn't anything change either. But to be on the safe side, you can try making backup copies of your pokemon games from the battery file and pasting them them in other places just in case something goes wrong or if you want everything to return back to normal before hacking the game. Other from that, there are no specifically complicated things for you to do or change.

So it works ona simple no$gba save eventhough no$gba somewhat uses it's own format? That's a bit of a surprise as for pokesave you need to edit the ini to give you RAW savefiles or something like that.
Anyways thanks for the screens and letting us know of the tool. Once I start playing pokemon again I will definitely use it.

By the way, can you use the Evolution Editor with a German cartridge? If yes, are the names translated? Seems to be a nice tool for completing the game.

Well Hatori-San, I saw your post and I went to check the site where I downloaded it and then the main site where it's from. It does not seem that they have the software for multiple languages as the same site itself is in Spanish. It seem to only offer downloads in English and Spanish only. I don't think you should try it with your German cartridge, as it may cause problems since I am using the English version. Here's the link to the download site if you want to check it out for yourself.

Sorry if I couldn't help.

master_cloud, can you go into more detail on how the evolution editor works? I keep hitting save rom and nothing happens.

You don't have to keep pressing it many times, only once and then close the application. Then check your Pokemon D/P game on No$gba to see if the hack worked. If it didn't work, let me know.
