go into the volume control start-programs-accesseries-enterainmaint-volume control
go to properties enable veiw all and make sure that the microphone wave is enabled and turned down to the very bottom that should stop the game from crashing if it is disabled the game can crash

so did I turn down the right ones? I turned down wave but that stopped all sound so that wasn't the right one but what about the other two?

turning wave down stops all sound.
:/ Which would make the game less-enjoyable on the emulator :/
