Wifi discussion.

I just have a question or two and just basically want an explanation.

I'm no expert at any of this so in simple terms would be appreciated!

Okay, so I understand an Emulator in a sense, allows a program to run as something else, using your computer's hardware, etc.

So... If No$gba uses your processor, video-card and sound card to power the emulator... why can't it use your internet connection and your computer's method to act as a method to connect online?

I have a wifi compatible modem but my no$gba emulator is being run on a computer that uses an adapter to communicate to the main router.

Why can't the emulator use that connection to connect to other players, assuming that it is a Player-to-Player connection that is happening?

because DS WiFi architecture is not fully understood yet and therefore can't be fully emulated and routed to a simple internet connection. Not to mention there are specific transfer and protection protocols to deal with.

It's going to take a lot of time for it be emulated....if it's even possible and there is not some sort of special authenticity check...

It's far from being a priority as it's basically a bonus feature...it's not integral to 99% of the games out there...
