Yeah. Not much is changed except for the About form and the Load Dialog.
But I have made a lot of changes in the code and made it more organised

Well.....
I can't change that as no$gba reads the date and time from the computer.

If anyone knows a way to change it (maybe with a hex editor) then let me know and I will add that feature in my program .

Is incredibile how much this small program is equal as mine... I made it 3 , 4 months ago, maybe more i don't remember, and was exactly in VB. I really hope is just a case. In VB is very easy to change the visual interface but incredible the options the images and idea are exactly same as mine...

Hmm let's see....what could a firmware editor possibly change....well maybe the name of the person....possibly the language, maybe the birthday date, maybe even the favoured colour....yeah that's pretty much the main changes I can make on my DS which might affect a game...0_o....now would you look at that...that's exactly what this is...and every other DS firmware editor ever made....

As you can see your claim is pointless....those are the only things a DS firmware editor could really change...nobody is stealing any ideas or options

They could steal code, and just make superficial alterations...We all know that happens in the emu world. In that lamers always do that for some form of attention. When they should know that real talent counts more than just lame thievery.

Yeah but seriously...I mean look at the other firmware editor that was floating around here a few months ago (was it not even you that made it?)...it also had the exact same options....

Yeah, I see your point.

And yes, I made that firmware editor, even though now it is incomplete.

Firmware Editor for NDS can only edit Name, Message, DOB, ALarm Time and color. So, whoever makes it, the idea and options will obviously be same.

In VB, I agree, it is easy to change visual interferace, but it is impossible to decompile the native code or P code (without which the program is nothing)

I do not intend to "steal" your credits. You made it first (although I haven't seen your editor) so you deserve the major credits.

The only other editor I saw was by mudlord, but I know nothing about C or C++.

There are some things that have to be edited. Like when you have a too long name, the program will cash and says: "run-time error '9' Subscript out of range" And if you use no$gba (tested version 2.6a) you musn't change the day and month setting or else the firmware won't work. So that are 2 things to be fixed in later versions

Opps!! My carelessness.
I have corrected it. (See the first post. Version is same)
Actually you cannot have a more than 10 character name in the firmware!!

Don't worry. It doesn't change the day or month (no$gba reads date and month from computer). It only changes your birthday date and month.

And remember if you face any problems after patching your original firmware, you can always replace it with FirmwareBackup.bin

If you find any other bugs, please bring it to my notice

Thanks for fixing the first bug, but now you can't change the language. Once you change it the firmware will (go kaboom and) reset itself. Hope you can do something about it. I'm using the latest version (downloaded 5 minutes ago)

Ok.... I tried the backup, but it won't revert it and when I tried to change the firmware nothing happen (I did close and open no$gba andrenamed it to FIRMWARE.bin and placed in no$gba directory) but it still doesn't work.

To run it you have to install Microsoft Visual Basic 6 runtime package!
Plus COMDLG32.OCX (This ActiveX control shipped in Visual Studio 6.0/Visual Basic 6.0 is used for showing common dialogs, open/save, used by programmers who doesn't want/know_how to add it to their programs)
Search for it with Google and once downloaded register it by typing "regsvr32 comdlg32.ocx" from the command line in the system32 directory
