No$gba sound mute

Since there's no sound control, I want to know if there is a way to mute No$gba without disabling the sounds. Some games needs to enable the sound in order for it to run, so I am wondering if it is possible to just mute or at least lessen the volume of No$gba without lowering the master volume of the computer?

And a tip to run Diamond in realtime

Thanks

Yes I searched for it first. Most of the threads claim that its not possible to exclusively lower or mute No$gba. Some say that 2.6a fixed the problem, but when I tried it in Pokemon Diamond, although it wont crash, the battle wont continue when sound is disabled.

I also found out that vista has the capabilities to set the volume of all its programs individually. Unfortunately I'm on XP. The only alternative solution I found was the program "IndieVolume". It sets the volume of an individual program just like in Vista.

If anyone have another solution with my little problem, please post it here.

Thanks

No, there is no other solution. It seems the claims that 2.6a fixed it are wrong. So it remains that if you are on XP there is no way to mute only no$gba whilst still having sound on it for Pokemon.

No, there is a way, by using a third-party program. I just recently discovered IndieVolume, a per-application volume program. It enables me to control the volume or mute No$gba only. I'm sure there are other similar programs.

I don't know if this is allowed, but here is the official site of IndieVolume. per-application volume control - IndieVolume

This feature is already included in all versions of Windows Vista.

EDIT: sry, that was already pointed out, didn't see that.

If you need to mute NO$GBA only, right-click in the video output window and click "Sound."

Turning off the emulator internal sound causes problems for some games that need the audio feedback to keep going, like Pokemon D&P.
