For those that were waiting for a tool to edit your own firmware. Here it is.
Is a little software called NDS Firmware Changer 1.0. You can edit the followings options: Name, Language, Color, Day of birth, Month of birth.. Iīve tried editing a 256kb firmware and works perfect!. The only problem that I found is that you coundīt edit the 512kb firmware (iQue Ds - japanese). Link |

It has already been posted here a couple of months ago (by me
)All credits go to the Italian coder Batblaster (the author of the firmware editor) NDSFirmwareChanger |

The reason why that program is not in any FAQ thread is because not everyone has a real ds. They might have downloaded an illegal copy of a firmware off the web and use that program to edit the firmware.

Actually, without using either firmware and BIOS, he could still play PD-ROMs with No$.
@Mynemisbat-Zul: Changing variables like language and favourite color isn't that hard if you know what to look for, but altering your name means recalculating a checksum; that's way easier if you redump the firmware or use the editor. |
