Save state doesn't work when loading
I have No$GBA 2.6a and I can't use save states. I've tried on Mario Kart DS, Spectrobes, Pokemon Pearl, Brain Training. Every time I save a state and load it, I get "the rom-image has crashed". I'm just using BIOSGBA.ROM, BIOSNDS7.ROM, and BIOSNDS9.ROM.
Any suggestions? |

Desmume and iDeaS
In Desmume and iDeaS the save state works fine. Wonder why it doesn't work in No$GBA. Desmume wouldn't play any of my games and iDeaS it was kinda choppy. If save states in No$GBA worked it would be fantastic.
Is there any 3rd party addons for No$GBA that would allow this? |

Yeah...
Yeah, I really wish the No$GBA maker would add:
- Save states - Screen zoom - Screen rotation I tried nds2xgl for zoom and rotation but somehow every time I quit after using it the app crashes. Using Vista Ultimate x64 SP1. Any ideas on that? OK so I got screen zoom and rotation working with an addon called myZoom: myZoom-1-7-22-EN.7z Not exactly the most polished thing but it works fine and doesn't crash on exit. Sorry if this stuff has already been asked but I did research before even making an account here. I went through 3 pages of Google results but nothing gave me a STRAIGHT answer. I'm not a n00b to emulation, I've done NES, SNES, GBA, N64, GameCube, PS2, PSX and all that before.

Yeah thats true. No$GBA started out as a GBA emulator, minimal DS support came in 2.2 and full support came in the next version. No$GBA is the best DS emulator out there, I haven't tested GBA games with it but according to Emulator Zone, No$GBA is still inferior to Visual Boy Advance and Boycott Advance. No$GBA has multiplayer support though which neither of the 2 other GBA emulators have.

Boycott? No ways....although no$GBA was late to the party so that's most probably why it has the least votes...I would say that aside from user friendliness and simplicity it's almost as good as VBA.
You also realise by the way that eventhough I was asking a question, I was infact making a statement?

SCHUMI,
Yeah I sort of realized that you were making a statement but I wasn't sure :P Yeah, Boycott isn't a very good emulator, but on Emulator Zone it has VBA and Boycott have more ratings, but I guess like you said its cause no$gba was a late comer. By the looks of it though no$gba is an excellent emulator. Eagerly waiting for the next release ![]() P.S. gnrathon who are you calling a noob? You have 56 posts and you joined in Jan 2008, how could you go around calling people noobs? I have emulated a lot of stuff before w/o any help, like I said, GBA, GBC, GB, N64, NES, SNES, PS2, GameCube, Legacy Macs, x86 PCs, and a whole host of others. Emulating new gen systems like DS and stuff, the answers on the net aren't straightforward really, probably since these consoles are new. |
