You should dump firmware from your own DS?

You have to dump your own firmwares. Any other way of getting them it's considered piracy and this forum do no support it.

Although, you can edit your own dumped firmware in order to avoid having to redump your firmware every time you do a change.
To tell you the truth, there is (at least) one program to edit Firmwares. [I have it but never use it]

Regarding where to get it...

We already told you.. We can't do that. It is against the rules here. You need to look harder.

Here is the proof that I am not lying.

The firmware editor isn't against the rules, its on the same grounds as GBATA,

the firmware it edits, though, is against the rules.

slightly different question. I have my firmware and rom files. The emulator starts perfectly with the option of starting the cartridge directly. I tried to chose to start from NDS "firmware" (or main menu) screen. everything looks normal. clock, game pic etc. but when I click on the game to play the emulator fatally crashes. so is it not possible to start the rom from firmware screen at this point or is it something wrong with my emulator?

Thanks

you can its just that you have to encrypt your rom with eNDcryptS
Attached Files
File Type: zip eNDryptS Advanced.zip (786.7 KB, 75 views)

Yeah, and just to make it clearer I guess it's not exactly the very fact of edited firmware that's illegal though -- correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that you can legitimately use this program in case you're editing your own firmware that you've dumped from your own NDS. This can possibly be done to save the time and trouble that you'd otherwise take to redump the firmware again after you've modified its options. I *may* be wrong though, please correct me if I am...
