is there a way to fix that error where your game freezes if you get a wave microphone error? besides turning off the volume which you can't do with pearl/diamond? help would be much much appreciated.

Not at this stage.

Apparently on the latest version of no$gba (2.6a) it's possible to set the sound to none and still play the game but I have not been able to test this myself as I don't have a paypal account.

No, it's not. It still hangs at the end of battles... strangely enough, I thought I tested it myself a long time ago with 2.6a and it didn't freeze with sound turned off...

What error is this related to exactly? I have a mic hooked up and I am playing Pearl and never got an error, or hanging.

No clue...some people seem to be plagued by it and others never get it...not sure what on earth causes it...

I'm using 2.5 and I do have a workaround.. pretty clumsy but it works for me.

In Vista you can mute the sound of individual applications, so all you gotta do is click on the volume icon next to the clock in your start bar, then choose Mixer. Scroll until you get to the emulator application and mute it.

So, you're saying that muting the emulator application will also disable the mic emulation, and therefore preventing the microphone wave in failure crash?
