Crackling noise

Hi there,
I was just wondering why the sound with No$GBA sounds distorted, like there's a crackling. I'm using 2.6a

Is this a known problem? Is there a fix as of yet?
Thanks.

The choppy sound is due to the frameskip and the speed of the game. There isn't anyway to fix it other than to wait for new version of the emu.

Does this happen to everyone? Or is it dependant on the power of the computer running the emulator.

I thought that it's from compression of sound.
