How to save your nds game state and continue off it at any time.

How to save your nds game state and continue off it at any time.
(you need a good computer)

1. Get and install VMware Workstation (or some other virtual computer with a snap shot (save state) function)
Note* You will need to install a combatable OS on you’re virtual computer.

2.A Install NO$GBA and any roms/games you want to play on the virtual computer.
2.B Play them like normal.

3. When you wish to save the current state take a snap shot of you’re virtual computer.
Side note* It saves how everything is at that moment

4.When you wish to continue load up that snap shot.
(Continuing off that saved moment)

Wow...that is an amazingly cumbersome solution. Most people will not have the resources to spare to run a OS within another OS.

Although I must salute you for finding it if it does indeed work (no I will not test it...I don't have the resources required).

I'm not sure what the minimal recommended comp stats would be I use a core 2 quad 4gb ddr2 ram but I think a core 2 dual 1.8+ with 1-1.5gb ram ddr1 would be able to do it.

It seems like a bit of a hassle just to get save state to work for nds games. Plus, wouldn't the emulator run a bit slower than normal, since you are using an OS within another OS.

It's not a hassle to me once you have it set up it only takes 2-3 mins out of you're day to load up the virtual and save its state.

Aslong as you have a core 2 dual + it shouldn't slow it down much.

With no$gba in play i click on options and the emulator go in pause, so i use ibernate comand and my PC freeze and slow down.
After one day or when i want i run my PC and return all ok.
Why you use WM??

Ibernate sorry not sure what that is. Maybe Hibernate? if its hibernate that might work but that would only work for one rom/game at a time right? With vm you can have any number of save/points you can return to with muiltable roms/games.

But each his own if you don't want to use vm then don't use it no point fighting about it.
