NO$GBA Fullscreen mode for dev

Hi,

first off great emu!! Music is perfect and games run super fast! Fine coding there, ages ahead of teh competition.

Just had an idea when you decide to implement full screen. Would it be possible to full screen the playing field and leave the menu/map screen as a background screen you can switch when needed. Atleast as an option if its possible. I m sure a lot of people would appreciate playing 100% full screen on their monitor !

The author of no$gba will implement whatever he feel is necessary, so it's pointless to make any suggestions. Also, he hardly checks this forum, not to mention, he hardly goes online.

Martin, the developer, doesnt even read the forums so dont bother asking.
He is much to busy anyway to answer suptid requests. Perhaps a third-party software will do that!!!

Let me just clarify. The author still uses dial-up and as such browsing a forum full of mostly : This useless emulator can't play or trade my Pokemon ..... is a hassle he can do well without.

So? Go make your own emulator or something. If it's useless to you, go buy a real ds. You should be thankful someone made an emulator in the first place. Having this program is a privelage not a right.

I know there are a lot of requests such as this and gets annoying replying from time to time that asking for that won't change anything, but he never demanded that feature, yet I see some useless answers. imlost already gave the best and most polite answer to that kind of question, so why not leave this be now.

You could just change the resolution on your pc to 800x600, the screen gets bigger whenever I do that. I dunno why people would want it full screen, the graphics just get all blurry and sometimes distorted.

Some people may have bad eyesight, so I guess that's why they want to increase the screen size. If they want to increase the screen size, then they will have to use myzoom or Nds2xgl. Personally, I thought that 1.5x or 2x is already large enough for anyone to see clearly.

Exactly. It is after all the same size as their default System font or browser font and they can obviously see that just fine....I can understand the rich kids with a 24+ inch monitor needing larger sizes, but regular people should be able to use what's currently availalbe just fine.

Wow this has gotten into a long discussion . This was just a ``suggestion`` on how to tackle full screen not a request ;p. Btw i did some coding for mangos and i did enjoy a suggestion or two back in the day. Some advice you discard but some you notice, all is good as long as it is done in good taste. Thats one of the reason we have message boards to give an opinion...

As for why full screen? Well isn t it obvious ? Some people like the full experience on their pc, bigger pixels helped with some pluggins to make them seem smaller and all in large screen format. Just like any other pc game or other handheld emulators (gamegear, lynx etc) But hey thats just me.

Now for all the haters, as i said earlier this is just a suggestion on a fine emulator nothing more... didn`t think it would bring down brimstones from the sky... ;p. And as i said when/if author decides to bring full screen this might be a good method... nothing more!
