Extracting Vidoes from Final Fantasy 8 (PSX)

Well I used a program that ectracts all the movies hidden on the FF8 Playsation CD.... I stick them into PSmplay 1.4 and I dont get audio?? is the audios streamed seperatly or what?

This best fits in misc psx emu discussion, so I'll move it there. As to your question, I believe we've had threads on this before, but I don't know the phrase you'd need for the "search" to find it.

OH! I used to use that weird complicated program. You have to find what kind of sound layer the video uses and match it the same. If not there will be no sound. And when ur extracting make it into an AVI video. It had the best quality.

You could try PsxMC. It's better than Psmplay, IMO.

Well not the sound, but the music is in a different way, don´t know why, but that is why this game use the SPU IRQ

Yep I am told that music is more like midi files.

Well I guess psxmc supports ff8.Try it.

Maybe we need to extract the audio and combine it with the 'FF8 no sound FMV'. But does anyone know how?

Right at the moment I have it on 2 CDs in AVI DivX3.
The files are big but I think I could recompress them without big loss of quality.

If you still want them just tell me and I set up the files on my ftp
