Help about VGS

i need help. suddenly VGS stopped working. when i run VGSVIdeoPAtch from aldo vargas.i choose xp compatibility patch clikc ok nothin happends like it's blocked or shutdown or something. i though at first it was my firewall but i uninstalled it and again nothing. i've tried to make fresh tnkXFs.dat in TEMP and i deleted all registry records to firewall/connectix..nothing. when i try to "convert to cvgs.exe" option it does what ever hell it does but i get msg VGS IS not properly installed use instalation cd..

hmm...is there a place where i can get SETUP.EXE from this vgs. i don't get it how it worked fine even with firewall...and suddenly it stopped! i get NOTHING. not even that i can think of something what would happend..

what do you think is it fixable by widnwos updates? or maybe something scr**ed with windows. i would really aviod formating HDD again and installing windows again..it just did it one month ago..i also have slow internet connection so i cannot pull updates again..it would be really HEADKICKING if i have to take computer again somewhere..IT'S REAAAAAALY HEAVY. thermaltake did hell of the job not wanting it to get moved all the time!

HELP..any thought is welcome!

Just use pSX in its place, that' will be easier on you, and certainly better

verify you have both the vgsvideopatch and vgs.exe (and some other files needed) in the same directory. Run VGS once and it should give a "does only run on win9x" warning or something. After that vgsvideopatch xp ought to work.
If not, there's probably some file missing somewhere. VGS' installation files should be on your VGS CD, so you can reinstall from there. If your cd however went missing for some reason, you could perhaps try some files from the VGS demo version.

i've used vgs from here. it worked just fine. now for some resaon it doesn't. i have all files and none of them are missing. i can assure you. it works on other computers as well still but not on this one.

hmmm where can i find DEMO version of VGS? i haven't though about that..
maybe just to se if demo works..if demo also doesn't work than something is definitly wrong and i will have to format HDD!

hmmm...well i've tried every one...doesn't work. still i don't understand how it worked perfectly and just one day STOPPED! SUDENLY! no aperent reason! anyway i will work something out. tnx for help guys. demo doesn't work also!

something is wrong big time and i don't know what it is..and i DON't LIKE it at all. gues it's format for me!

Reviving this post...

VGS was running normally when I was playing Twisted Metal 4 and some others games, but when I tried to run Crash Team Racing the emulator started to freeze after 3-5 seconds. I pressed ESC to pause and resume and it started running and freezing again after 3-5 seconds...

After that, when VGS loads the other games that I used to play before Crash Team Racing they are with the same freezing problem!

ePSXe runs fine with some games but others are better in VGS (low-end PC

)

I tried deleting tnkXfs.dat from temp folder and running VGS without Aldo's patch and running it again with the patch but the problem continues...
Tried deleting configs in windows registry...
Tried deleting prefetch files...
Tried running a original CD (not ghost-mounted)...
Tried deleting VGS and installing again...

I think it's some kind of config stored somewhere else... Can't be my PC because all other emulators weren't affected.

Any ideas?
