Help?

I'm running into trouble with the Valkyrie Profile Disc 1 file. It will only run for about 20 mins on ePSXe 1.6.0 but runs fine on pSX but i'd like to be able to play the whole thing on ePSXe because of the open GL vid options makes it run alot smoother on my pc. is there any way to create a virtual memory card so i can load it onto pSX and save after where it freezes on ePSXe then load it back up on my preferred emulator?

I noticed while reading some other threads that pc specs are sometimes the issue.
AMD Athlon 2.4 GHz Processor
1 Gig of RAM
Nvidia GeForce 6100 vid card.
I've also got 128MB of Ram capable of being shared out to video.

In either emulator, just save as you normally would. You can swap memory cards back and forth--just grab the memory card file and copy it to the memory card folder of the other emulator.

Umm, emulators use virtual memory cards not real ones meaning the emulator uses a memory card image or file. Theres really no need to use save states as they tend to feck things up ingame

pSX says there's no memory card inserted and won't allow me to save?

Yeah, I know pSX doesn't come with the virtual memory cards in the memory card folder when you download it.

For this you can either copy a memory card file over from the epsxe memory card folder to the pSX memory card folder or you can get a memory card file save off of Video Game Cheats - Video Game Reviews - Video Game Codes - Video Game Web Site - GameFAQs .

After you copy the memory card file over to the Psx Memory card folder, you can select it in the Configuration screen of pSX

It's easy enough to create memory cards in pSX.

Yeah, you can do that too but it looks like he already solved his problem. Besides this thread is already over a month old and he hasn't posted back in here yet.

True, but your answer did give the impression there's no way create memory cards in pSX, which I felt needed correcting. 8-)

Mind you, I already knew but completely forgot about it. Meh at me getting older now, memory is not so great as before. 23 years old going on 24 the 7th of next month and already have short term memory loss.
