Rhapsody 2 in SSSPSX

Just a bit of a problem, I guess. Sorry if this is the wrong section. ^^; The game has been working perfectly up until now, with configurations that I've used on all of my other games, and I've been playing for an hour or so with no problems...

But after the chef in Mothergreen tells me to go get Bobo, and I get it and return to the restaurant, the game freezes when I walk into the kitchen.

Anyone know what's going on? D:

Here are my config settings just in case they're needed:

Plugin: P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.1.17
Author: Pete Bernert and the P.E.Op.S. team

Resolution/Color:
- 640x480 Window mode
Stretch mode: 0
Dither mode: 0

Framerate:
- FPS limit: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: 60.0

Misc:
- Scanlines: disabled
- Game fixes: off [00000000]

Thanks! It's working now.

Edit: Though now it freezes at another screen-change part. ^^; Specifically, when Kururu escapes from the castle the second time. When I walk down the path and go into another screen, the game freezes. And I'm doing the same things I did to get past the restaurant thing...

The music still goes, but the screen is black after switching.

I've tried 4 emulators, the game only even starts in SSSPSX. I tried 9 video/graphics plugins with different settings, and all of my computer's video card drivers are up to date... I also tried on my other computer, which is a high-end gaming comp, and I got the same problem.

And I can go to the previous screen just fine, but the next screen is just black.

Have you tried pSX? It's very compatible and requires no plugins. Especially if you're already using Peops software GPU, this would be an excellent alternative.

I've tried both.

And actually, I've found that pSX doesn't just freeze on twirly battle scenes. It'll freeze randomly during anything; selecting a save, middle of the battle, gameplay, events, etc. It doesn't always, but it's still annoying because I never know when it will do it and why. O_o

Edit: Okay well I fixed it by adding -r to the shortcut. ^^;
