PSOne Games on PS3

I have a large collection of of PSOne games on my PC in mostly BIN/IMG/ISO formats.
I put these on my PC so I would never have to actually take my discs, which I love & cherish, out of the cases anymore because I fear for "wear & tear".

My question is...
If I burn these games to backup Discs (CD-R), will my PS3 recognize them as playable games?

I doubt it, Why not use your originall games?

Sony isn't stupid, they don't want people playing pirated games on their consoles.

They're losing money on selling systems anyways, they only make money by people buying "new" legal copies...

But you could always try burning a CD and trying it.

I'll just bet it won't succeed...

thats stupid...just buy an original games...n why u want to play ps1 games..thats horrible..Ps3 its enough...

Because there are good classic games that are worth to be played. they provide countless hours of fun...unless you are a graphics whore, of course

just as Paratech i really wonder why you don´t use your original games instead(if you really have any) on your PS3??? i mean everybody knows that a company like Sony will never allow you to use backups on it... so if you really have those games (i doubt it) then use it. they will shure work on it.

I find it a little annoying actually. I have a copy of Tekken 2 that works on my PC but is too scratched for my PS2. It'd have been nice if they could disable the protection for the PSX on PS3, but not PS2 on PS3 and disabled region lockouts on the PS2 games, but that's neither here nor there.

Aren't we all here at these forums because we want to play games that are at least one generation behind?

As said, there's some very good games on PSX, although perhaps it's also a bit nostalgia for a lot of us, just like with any other old system.

But remember, Sony is selling some Playstation games as downloads, why would they support letting people use copies and cost them money? Sony is out to make money, not give away IP, who do you think they are? Santa Claus?
