Soul Edge in english

I have a game of Soul Edge for psx, original version (japanese). But when playing the game, everything is in English, menu, intro movie. Is it supposed to be in English, because it's from Japan??

Soul Edge is the prequel to Soul Calibur. Yes. A lot of Japanese arcade fighters use full English text.

Also, Soul Edge IS the japanese version. US and EU and AU have it called either Soul Edge V2 or Soul Blade.

Well, english is universal after all.

So us English speakers would like to think/hope...and hey, it works for me.

Well, if my memory serves me correctly, everything in the PS1 version of Soul Edge is in English, however, the character endings all use Japanese voice overs. However the English version (Soul Blade) has the same voice overs I think, they only have subtitles.

I believe you are correct. Here's to original voices with subtitles!

King of Fighters 2006 has English or Japanese voices, but I just can't stand the English voices, I had to set it to Japanese.
