Theres So Many! Which Emu. should I get, and where?

I dont know which PSX emulator is the best, even though theyre all prolly good. If someone can tell me which one they use (And possibly where to get it) Thatd be great. (And Roms too.. cause.. my Rom Sources are low lately)

I use pSX for all of my PlayStation emulation needs. It's very simple and easy to use. Just don't expect visual enhancements anytime soon. Accurately emulating the PlayStation is the top priority of pSX Author right now. Damn though, I realized that you asked where to download roms. That's against the rules.

Actually theyre called ISOs Just buy a few Playstation games from anywhere (very cheap nowadays) and run them with the emulator, any problems you can post them here and the kind people here will help you.

I have some PS1 games. but.. How do I make them run with the emulator? I put em in my computer, and that didnt work, so what do I do?

Also: When I try to run pSX it says something about "BIOs"? Im confused.

Well, you can play the games straight off the CD, or you can make your own ISO.

Some info on the BIOS, taken from the Troubleshooting FAQ:

Quote:
What's this BIOS thing everyone is talking about? Where do I get it?
  • a BIOS is essential to PSX emulation. check out this thread for a little bit of help. it's an old post, but the information is still valid. I'm planning on making a FULL ON (with pics!) tutorial on how to dump a PSX BIOS, so hang tight, I'll have it eventually...
  • check out the ePSXe help file. In the Contents, go to Technical Stuff-->Dumping the PSX BIOS.
  • As always, Google is your friend.
