Einhander gallery problem

I've been playing the Japanese version of Einhander on ePSXe and sPX, both work fine. Except for one problem: when I open up the gallery, the picture will flash on screen before it goes black. If I change the picture, the next pic will flash and go black as well. This happens on both ePSXe 1.6 (with all latest Pete's plugins) and sPX 1.11 (which of course doesn't use plug-in), so I'm not sure where to ask...

Would this be a disc/iso problem? The game works fine otherwise...

Can you post the config you are using on epsxe assuming you are using pete's 1.76 opengl/d3d.

If you are then in most cases try turning off screen drawing to 3 or higher.

Or if that doesn't work use a software plugin like P.E.Op.S 1.17

Also try another emulator like psxeven and ssspsx.
