PSX ISO compression and emulator
I never done this before. AFAIK, there is .z and .bz format file that cdr mooby plugin can support. Another one is .cdz which is used by pSX. Is there others. Which is better? can I .cdz format with epsxe etc? I'm lloking for guide and suggestion here. Thanks

The .z format runs better but the .bz can save you more space. Go to step 16 PSXLDR -- A Graphical Ripping Guide

Firstlly there is another choice for compressed iso in the (excellent emu for newbies )Psxeven also . The newest Daemon Tools supports .isz (Ultraiso compressed format ) ,BUT i couldnt manage to boot epsxe /psxeven after Succesfully mountend the .isz compressed iso . Unfortunatelly i also wasnt able to make any of the emus cd plugin to see nor Poweriso's neither Ultraiso's special Virtual Drives (Xp ,no Aspi manager installed ),the Cd plugins see only physical drives and Daemon Tools Virtual Drive ) So you can mount succesfully an .isz in latest DaemonTools ,you can see the index of the cd from my computer ,but the emus refuse to go advance and give a black sreen, although everything seem to be fine. BTW About the mooby's plugin there are restrictions compressed formats - RAR (2.x only) , Z.table or .bz.index Last edited by Miltos Iatridis; June 11th, 2007 at 14:21.. |
