Is it possible to remove voices entirely from PSX games?

There are a few PSX games (especially Valkyrie Profile at the moment) that I would like to play without the voice acting, but there's no option to turn VA off. Is it possible to remove the VA from the iso or do some option with a PSX emulator to remove the voices without removing anything else? It seems like it should be doable but I don't really have the knowledge of how it would be done. Thanks for your help.

if you are using epsxe 1.6/1.5.2,
go to configure the sound in the emulator,

and uncheck the first option- see if that solves it, if not try the second option.

uncheck where is says: enable xxxxxxxx
