Playstation 1 emulators pack+plugins =)
Hi all! How are you first of all? I am good thanks Last few weeks I was spending my time on testing all ps1 games I have on all possible ps1 emulators I could find. Many of them worked on the most of the emulators, but some of them worked little bit better on some older ps1 emulators.I downloaded as many plugins as I could find and I tested all ps1 games I have on all emulators and all plugins I have and I must say I am pretty happy ePSXe 1.6.0 and pSX 1.11 worked the best! But some games worked little bit better on some older versions.I tested that same games on the ePSXe 1.6.0 and I tryed it with ALL plugins I have and my luck changed to much BETTER Some plugins works much better then the plugins which are specifically written for that emulator.Sounds weird but it's true.I read on many forums the people are complaining like they can't decide which ps1 emulator to use and the they can't find all neccessary plugins for it.So when I already have MANY ps1 emulators and MANY MANY good plugins for them,I thought it would be a good idea if I share that with you.I uploaded that folder in which I was putting all ps1 emulators and plugins I was testing so I hope it will help to you like it helped me.Of course BIG thanks for all people who were the part of the developing these ps1 emulators and developing all the plugins for them Honestly........I played more then 10 totally different games and they all worked GREAT at the pretty good graphic quality And my laptop is weak and it still worked better then I expectedI know laptop is not good for emulating the games but with so many emulators and plugins it must work somehow It did to me so I hope it will work to you too who's computer is I am sure MUCH stronger then my laptop Here is the link so you can download little ps1 emulator pack with all plugins I was able to find.Of course that doesn't include the bios. You must get it out from your own playstation 1 or find it somewhere else ![]() Here is the link: Send big files the easy way with sendspace. Files too large for email attachments? No problem! I HONESTLY hope this will help to the most of the people who are still kinda new to this emulators

I don't want to sound like a d**k, don't take this in the wrong way. i congratulate your work. So you say that the games runs great, but for a newbie they may not know what configs to use to get the same results as you did, Plus we do not know what games you tested the emulators with. Why include all plugins? Some are outdated and newbies may get confused about why 'x' games don't work. Wouldn't it be easier to download the plugins one by one? instead of a big package that some may never be used? __________________________________________________ _____________ On the plus side it may be good for a newbie to learn about configuring plugins and getting to know the emulators. it is faster than downloading one file after another, and you can get started right away.

Yea I totally agree with you,but I just like to have ALL possible versions of the plugins.Well on the version number they can see which plugin is newer =P Configuring the plugin might be hard for newbies yea.....well I guess I was just too lazy to take a screenshot of my configurations =P

I really dislike plugin packs, and here's why: 1. Laziness. I really hate laziness. How hard is it to download the plugins that you need and look up a config? Even if you're lazy, you can play most games out there with OGL at the Nice preset. Hell, you can do Peops at the Nice preset and play pretty much everything. 2. Plugin packs are easily outdated. Pete could release a new version of something tomorrow and then your entire pack is out of date. 3. Corruption. The easiest way to ensure you're getting the proper file is to get it from the proper source. 4. Putting too many plugins is bad. The emulator will check every single plugin, and if there is some sort of glitch (which is more likely the more plugins you shove in there), it will freeze the emulator. That's a stupid thing that can be easily avoided by just not having useless plugins. 5. Your configuration, sorry to say, is not magic. A lot of people think they have found the magic buttons, the magic configuration, the magic graphics. No, you haven't. Every single setting in these plugins is digital. There is no analog button tweaking, no creative control. It's possible for me to use the exact same settings as you. 6. You simply do not need so many plugins. Period. I only use OGL, OGL2, and Peops software, and that's it. There's no reason to use any other plugin unless there is a problem with another one. And even so, using a plugin doesn't guarantee success, you still have to configure it. There are some people who can figure out emulator settings on their own, but the majority of people (take a look at how many posts we get on PSX troubleshooting) need their hand held because it's too confusing. Confusion is a key word here. You think you're helping by providing EVERYTHING all at once...but to say that your plugin pack is "help" is like saying you made your favorite CD more "efficient" by listening to every song at the same time

Hehe true, but if tomorrow new plugin comes out,it doesn't mean the this which is now old isn't not good.I am using some old plugins and I am pretty happy with it For example I am not always using Pete's OPEN GL2.WHOA!!My weak laptop will melt using that plugin =P Anyway you are right, but still I am just watching on too many details. That's sometimes bad I know...tell me about it =P I just hate when I lose one good plugin and then I can't find it on the internet anymore becuse it's outdated.Because that old plugin worked good on my weak laptop and the new one is too strong for my laptop hehehe.Of course you can always configure the plugin on lower graphic quality, but still graphic card of 64 mb sucks lol.Anyway,I was just wondering...is it possible to play ps1 games on ePSXe 1.0.0 and pSX 1.0 ?I tryed, but didn't really make it.Probably because that are the first versions of that emulators =) I don't know why,but I like old versions of the emulators, they somehow make me to think how hard was to those developers to start making the emulator Ohh yea, just one stupid question......this ps1 emulator called "pSX"...why he didn't call it version 2.0?? Why 1.11 lol? If you ask me,it works great Btw...too bad there won't be a new ePSXe version. That emulator rocks!Like all lol,but still there are great exceptions =P

I'd think when the authors of PSX believe that the emulator has been updated significantly enough to warrant calling it 2.0, many other emulators, such as MAME use incriments, MAME isn't ever going to even hit 1.00, it's on .114u2?
