Suikoden problem

Started Suikoden up again but am having trouble getting the 108 stars, can't get Jabba, walk round the world map to fight the Holly Fairy to get the Nameless Urn & nothing happens? don't know what i'm doing wrong, but want to get all stars before i start SII!! any suggestions, tips, cheats, save games/states etc? 'cos it's driving me nuts

yeah have, but still can't figure it out, where can i get save state or game from, but not at the end of the game?

You just walk around fighting until you get the urn, no special trick to it.

However, different emulators could affect random numbers I suppose. But maybe you're just REALLY unlucky.
