Xplorer rom flashing...
Hi there,
I'm just wondering if any of you here know how to flash a new ROM onto an Xplorer cart. I have the X-Flash program which I burn to CD with the ROM image I want to flash, but I don't have the ROM image. Although, I do have these FCD files (I'm guessing these are dumps of the cart. ROM) but the X-Flash ROM builder program doesn't recognize them, the readme of the program states that they need to be decrypted but gives no information on how to do so. I searched the net for such info and have found nothing. So if you have any information on the subject please share. Thanks. Problem solved. And for anyone who ends up with the same problem; I got myself a 25 pin male-female parallel cable and connected the cartridge to the PC and was able to upload the Xplorer FX FCD file using the X-Killer program, now all works well. It's also most likely possible to use X-Killer just to decrypt the FCD and burn that to CD with the X-Flash program and run it in a modded PSX. Last edited by Ajito; December 23rd, 2006 at 09:47.
