Do these releases work on ePSX, or any of the other emus? Or are they just the same as regular imported games, just with different packaging?

maybe he is looking on ebay to buy one? or something like that where he doesn't have immediate access to it?

well anyway, this is basically the japan equivalent of greatest hits. it's the same game, it works the game way. it plays on the Playstation, so it should play in ePSXe

yes, they are just rereleases... the "books" title is somewhat confusing, they're the same games, but they're delivered in smaller cd-single style cd cases. Manuals are included, but they have to be stored separately, as they don't fit into the small cd-single cases. Not convenient, no, but I can live with it
