I just want to learn how to modify text in PSone game and translate it to other language.

Hmm, I've seen it happen in the pc version where they were able to change the script. Visit http://www.qhimm.com/ and maybe ask around at the forums if no one here will be able to help you any further. They focus on all kinds of FF7 mods.

Try http://www.romhacking.net, I think for someone who's starting it's one of the best site around, but maybe you should try with Nes games at first. Well you'll see. Good luck!

There are a few spanish, french and brazilion sites that I know of that have tutorials (in their native tounges of course) on how to translate playstation games. Also Cless (the guy who is translating Tales of Phantasia for the PSX) also has a guide which should help you get started.

Learning how to hack the text in one game would not help you with any of the others. For example, I know roughly how to hack the text in SRW Alpha. I'll be damned if I can find the text to change in SRW F, and those two are by the same company.
