in the clip i posted he said a bit more than that, you'll be able to download them from sony, it starts from game -> memory stick, etc.

And how does this work exactly? Do you copy the contents of your PSone games to the root of the memory stick? Do you copy over an image? LOL, so much for that PSone emulator that was being developed for PSP...

no you download the games from sony, probably paying (again) for them

well, sooner or later someone will make a psx emulator for the psp so dont waste money

It's an emulator being made by Sony.

It's part of their online strategy I believe. Quite innovative, plus it should cut down on the urge for developers just to "remake" games.

also probably to get emulator-fans to upgrade so they can't do other illegal stuff anymore :P

What's illegal about using ePSXe? I own every PSX game I have (around 280 of them)

I believe manias was speaking about upgrading the PSP, but just so, emulators aren't illegal manias, downloading ROMS etc are, but lets not get OT here ...

Well personally i'm a little dissapointed. The emulator was shown the game in 4:3 mode, sure you can "change" the screen size, but that's simply stretching the image. I was hoping that since i'm paying for games I own already that I would be able to use my PSP's whole screen playing my PSX games at a 16:9 aspect ratio, but I guess not.

I don't know ... this emulator doesn't look that great to me anymore. Impressive yea, in a way, but not nearly as much as I want. Am I asking too much, or is Sony just not delivering?

i dont think that emualtion is illegal unless you dont follow the rules
