The zip inside has a .dll file.
Be sure to copy it wherever you move the PSMplay executable file to a folder.

What PSX CD are you trying to explore?
Not all .str files can be opened.

Assign a CD-ROM drive to the one you are previewing the disc.

If you are using Windows XP, you need to force the cd-roms/cd-rw/dvd-rom/dvd-rw in APSI mode.

Perhaps, someone can explain more on that.

All I had to do was add aspi32.dll to the PSMplay folder to get the CD-Roms to appear in the menu. You might need to add it to your System32 folder too, but I didn't have to do that.

w00t!! i got it working. fireblaster provided an excellent hint in her post. you need a program called force aspi 1.7 to get the job done. after you get the aspi drivers installed, everything should be fine.

its playlist functions are great, since FFVIII's ending is broken into 3 parts, i was able to play all 3 in the correct order without any interruptions in fullscreen mode! (something i don't think psx multi converter is capable of)

Did you copy the executable and the corrposing files (esp the .dll file) into the same folder?
