Question Interfacing PSX memory cards to PC

I would like to be able to transfer the data from real PSX memory cards to my PC to play the saved games in an emulator, and vice versa to play on a real PSX. I think there is software to handle the data conversion, but what hardware do I need to allow my PC to actually read/write the PSX memory card?

Unless someone created something else without our knowing..(It's possible)..The only current way to transfer memcard data is by using a Dex Drive

They are no longer actively sold in stores, but you may get lucky online or on eBay

Lik-Sang still has plenty of DexDrives for as little at 10 dollars. I have one, it works perfectly for exchanging saves between ePSXe and my real PSX. PSXGameEdit is also a great program to use with it.
Anyways, try this link:

here is a DIY project that will allow you to connect a psx memcard to your parallel port. i made one of these and it worked in win98 but i couldnt actually get it to work in xp.

I suggest you do a search for this topic, I answered a similar thread with the interface I build that required no circuit at all. Can't remember what site it was from though, but it worked in XP at least
